Hey guys. I took the April MCAT, and I was just thinking about how they were organized. Since there are like an A series, a B series, a C series, etc. how do these series relate? Do they have similar questions or is every form different? I was just curious about it, and didn't really understand how they did it.

If all of the forms are different, I am guessing that each is scaled seperately. I guess since we are getting are scores really soon, I can't help but think about the MCAT. The stress is surely getting to me. ugh.

Lets hope all of us do well so we don't have to take this beast of a test again! GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!

Some of the forms are the same... for example, I know that forms FK and FG are the same. I'm not sure how they code them, but I figure there must be some system where they have about 50 different titles for forms, but only 20 or so actually different forms.

a lot of the forms differ by which experimental passages they use. like AS and AG might have 8 of the same VR passages, and one experimental passage differentiating the two.

From my experience with the mcat (I took it twice) and the information that I obtained from my friends who also took the test on the same days as me, the forms A- (i.e. AG, AF, etc.). Same goes for B-,C-. I think there are 5 different forms. Eventhough A- and B- forms are different, they sometimes share passages. For example, I had form AS and my friend had form BS and after the test we compared the test and we had at least 3 of the same passages throughout the 3 sections. I guess they mix around the same passages throughout the 4-5 different forms. Logically I would assume that a person with form AS in NY is scaled with anyone across the country that has form A-. And the same goes for a person with form BS to anyone else with form B-.

Still, all we can do is speculate. Nobody except the people that are figuring out the curve and grading these tests know for sure how they are graded and which forms are compared and scaled to which.
