Where can I buy the MCAT/average GPAs accepted for each medical school? I know there is a service out there I just can't seem to find it. Is it the US News and World Report Compass?

MSAR is more complete but only provides data for MD schools. It gives accepted student averages

US News is not as complete and includes MD and DO schools. It gives matriculant averages

Also, is median more important than mean for GPA because it throws out the outliers?

If the two are significantly different, like a median of 3.79 and a mean of 3.48, then yes. Otherwise, with a decent sized applicant pool, the possibility of differences between mean and median shouldn't be an issue, since they're usually quite close together to begin with.
