When will we have computer based MCAT? Most of other exams, like GRE, are computer based and you get your score right after the exam. That way they will be able to have more than 2 MCAT's during the year. AAMC may have a limit of taking MCAT once a month or something like that.

they curve the test based on how others do on it, so that's why they rarely offer it----that way they get a large population to sit for the same test. I don't know if I would like it, but it would be good practice for the board exams.

Well, they may have test once a month starting from April and through August. You may get the percentage of the answers you got which may give an indea of what you are going to get. When they grade your essay, they would send you an official scaled score. That computer-based test would save AAMC a bunch of money on scanning all the papers through scanner in particular order. Plus computer will do all the statistical analysis.
I am suprised that they still do not have it. GRE is taken by far more people and it is computer based.

I've been thinking about this some more. After this past year, I would be so scared to take the mcats on computers. Think of how much potential there is for them to screw it up! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

Well, I guess there going to be some problems with the VR because you have to map the passages and so on.
I actually liked how e-mcat.com made their online practice tests. It was easy to map the passages and leave the comments on the pages.

Doctora Foxy is right. When I took my TOEFL exam the computer system crushed:(

Definitly if it was MCAT test I could have a heart attack...
