1) When 2,4 dimethyl-2-pentene is hydrated with cold dilute acid, the major product is?

We have to do hydration of alkenes, which follows the markovnikov rule, but i don't seem to be getting the right answer?
Can anyone explain?
Thank You.

You should be getting 2,4-dimethyl-2-pentanol, unless I'm missing something.
