I am studying for the MCAT and was curious if anyone knows whether the new MCAT tests on elimination reactions. I've been going through Kaplan books and can't find any info on elimination. I also checked the AAMC website and only found substitution reactions on the section content pdf. I was just wondering so I don't spend hours reviewing this concept if it's not tested. Thanks!

Yes, addition-elimination type reactions are common in biochemistry although these involve nucleophilic addition to pi antibonding instead of sigma antibonding orbitals.
