No. A 9th grader who's had his algebra can do the calculations.

as far as i know, no. there is no calculus on the MCAT

At least when I took the MCAT (2005), the physics was not calc-based per se. However, in undergrad I found that calc-based physics was a little more intuitive & easier to understand. Trig-based physics has a reputation of being an easier course, but I felt like having calc-based physics helped me. Could be just my experience, though.

All physics is calculus-based, whether you use it or not.

I havn't taken the MCAT but I assume you can solve the problems however you want. From what I can gather from friends it seems that caluculus based is faster and therefore the better option. I'm a little disapointed I am currently enrolled in non calc based.
