Hey guys,
I am thinking of taking an MCAT prep class in Toronto for the August MCAT. Now, there are several test prep programs in Toronto, but I am leaning towards either Kaplan or TPR. Kaplan is slightly cheaper than TPR, but TPR offers more sessions. Has anyone done the programs before and which one is supposedly better?
Thanks guys...

I have only taken Kaplan, but from my understanding Kaplan stresses test strategy more and TPR stresses content more. Someone who knows more about prep classes could probably give you more insight.

This has been discussed in the past so search around a bit and I'm sure you'll find the answer to your question.

Hey, I'm in TO as well and I'm taking the TPR class - simply b/c it's my first time taking the MCAT...despite what everyone says about how courses are not necessary. Courses offer you scheduled study and more organization - essentially the courses force u to stay focused and to study. However, what you get is what you put in. So there is no difference from Kaplan or TPR courses, if ur the type that knows ur stuff, who thinks right, and are destined to get 30+ u'll get it no matter what course you take. If you can study well and stay focused without courses...especially during the summer when it's so nice outside - u shouldn't take a course to save $$. Of course, I don't know how to go about studying for this thing - and I'm not sure if I'll stay focused, so I'm doing a course.

That's what I've learned from these boards.
