I'm planning on taking the September 7 MCAT and I have not taken the MCAT since August 2005. When I studied for that test I used my Princeton Review 2004 Hyperlearning Course Books and Examkrackers Complete Study Package 5th edition. Does anyone know if these books are still good enough to study with for the new MCAT CBT? I was thinking of ordering the EK 1001 Series for some more practice since I've answered all the questions in my other PR and EK books, and possibly the latest Princeton Review MCAT CBT Comprehensive book or the Kaplan Premier 2007-2008 book. I have not found any reviews on the new PR book so I could not decide between that and Kaplan. I would like to spend the least amount possible since I still want to purchase some of the AAMC tests as well. If anyone has any advice for me on which books I could or should use that would be great! Thank you! 🙂

The single most important part of any books are the answer explanations for the passage questions. This is where you truly learn how to take the exam. You need to compare answer explanations for whatever materials you are considering.

That said, you'd be hard pressed to find better materials for the CBT than Berkeley Review passages with answers.
