Are you thinking about a retake? What are your stats?

i'm a little embarassed. i'm just around the median.

i am going to apply this summer. so i was thinking about the april test.

I'm curious too. I just have a very packed semester and I don't really have time to study as much as I want to for the April MCATs. Would med schools look down at me not taking it in April?

I'm kind of having this problem too. I want to take this April, but I'm afraid I won't be prepared enough and if I do poorly I will have to scramble and retake in Aug. And then my apps will go out late, and then I'll get rejected everywhere, and then my life will be over.

you aren't going to put your apps out in the summer no matter what?

I want to know my score before I apply. (so I don't waste money on schools I have no chance of getting in to).

Definitely retake.

You won't get into any decent school with those numbers, unless you've cured cancer or something.

you sound like you got your proximal phalanges stuck up your coccyx.

Whatever. I'm not the one who has to retake the freakin MCAT.

Do NOT wait for August scores before submitting apps. Seriously. That's one of the biggest and most common mistakes in this game. If you're sticking with taking the August test and applying that same year, submit your amcas in June.

I have to agree. Submit your primary application before your MCAT. Then start working on secondary applications (If you can find them for the specific schools you are applying to).
