I took the old MCAT and ended up getting really low, 4 in PS, 5 in PS and 4 in VR. I'm wondering if getting the same scores would end up getting me into the 43rd percentile for the new MCAT. I read in a post on SDN that you simply add your score to 117 in each section to get a new score. So in my case, would it be roughly 121 in PS, 122 in PS and 121 in VR. Would this be around a 40-43rd percentile?

What's the point in speculating? Honest question here. You should really just worry about doing much better on the new MCAT.

Amen to mcatjelly. But no. 50th percentile on old MCAT~26-28. I am certain a 17 doesn't correspond to a 10 percentile point difference. You can't convert old scores to new scores by adding 117.
