Question for anyone who can answer: If I got the same overall score on the April and August MCATs, which score will they take? My point distribution is different between both tests (for examp. 7B-Apr, 9B-Aug.)..will they take the highest score for each section, or the more recent overall score?
Also another question: If I have a 3.6 Sci GPA, lots of good research, clinical, volunteer experience, but a lowly 20 on the MCAT, what are my chances of getting into an osteopathic school? Should I take the MCAT again and attempt to apply next year? English is not my first language, so my verbal scores have never been greater than 6. However, my writing sample is a Q..can that offset a low verbal score?
I would be very grateful for any advice. Thank you.
