MCAT scores and MD/PhD

I am just wondering whether I would get disadvantaged if I got 6 in verbal in April MCAT but significantly improved (say, 'more than' 2~3 points) in August (I don't know yet though)..

And also what are md/phds which don't average your score but rather take your highest score?

I've heard Umich is one....but does anyone know any other schools?
