Are you guys actually going to look up your score online? With AMCAS moving the submission date to June 12th, I think paying $15 is a waste of money since we'll get our scores a week later.

Some of us can't wait that long :) In fact... many of us are finding it hard to wait until friday!! :D
They can have my $15... I want my scores!

You guys are absolutely crazy! I would be too freaked out to look at my scores popping up on a computer screen. I think I would faint!

Last time I took it... getting my scores was a much more pleasant experience because my pre-med advisor had gotten them before me. He said "you did nice" which calmed me down... then he wrote them on a little piece of paper and handed it to me. It was nice to have him there when I first saw them... it made the experience more peaceful :)

relatively prime-
if you did nice, why did you take them again? by the way, what undergrad did you go to? where are you from?

I retook because... my score was unbalanced (#$%& bio section), I thought I could do better, and I want to teach for Kaplan. Also, many of my classmates scored in the sub-20s... so "nice" was a relative term :) .

I go to Kent State and am from Ohio.

What about you :)

I'm from UCLA (obvious because I'm bruinkid!). I also retook the exam for the verbal section.

Hi relatiovely prime-
Just wanted to say hello. Seen you around here alot. I'm also waiting for mcat scores this week. I'm in NYC. Graduated from Barnard in 1999.

Hope the best for you and everyone else here on (or about!) june 7th.

This week has been sooooooooooo long...

good luck to you too :)

Relatively prime, what did you do different this time to study for Bio? Did you feel more prepared this time on test day?

Go Flashes!!

sng: I just spent more time on it... took more practice tests, etc. I think the key to bio is ~knowing~ as much as possible... but not so much that you get bogged down. Some people might try and tell you that you don't need to know that much... but I think that's BS. That may be true for PS, but not for bio. So I basically just took practice test after practice test until "lack of knowledge" stopped causing me to miss questions. Last time I took it I didn't finish the Bio section, I had like 10 questions left... I got really really nervous and misbubbled a few questions... it was just horrible. I think I did a lot better this time... at least I finished! (and with 2 minutes to spare)
Why, are you struggling with bio?

AMCAS is moving back to the 12th? I just sent off for my transcripts...sending it in as soon as I get my MCAT scores.

As for me, I don't want to get it online. I hate the wait, but the envelope is a much more attractive option to me. Anyone else?

Blitzkrieg, I totally hear you man. I have this little fantasy... well, maybe fantasy is a bad word, but... I have this vision of tearing the envelope open and seeing my score.. also, just the moment when you have the envelope in your hand but haven't opened it yet... you know, the thing is decided, you just don't know how it all turned out yet.. how powerful.

man, i'm a freak! :)

anyway, the whole "as soon as i hit submit, my scores pop up" just doesn't hold the same romance for me. those seconds while that little "e" rotates into a globe on your browser... and you wonder if the freakin amcas system will go down... then it just "pops" up

my buddy and I studied for the test together, and he's checkin his scores on friday cause he can't wait so I probably will too. oh well.

I too, like the idea about ripping open an envelope..so I'm going to meet that half way. I'll be at work when the scores go online so I'm having a cowokrer print it out and hand it over to me. SOmething about seeing it on paper...

Blitzkrieg-
I agree with you. I don't think I'll be checking scored online. It's too freakish. I mean I didn't do that for the SAT, why should I do it now?

•I have my B.S in Education...

Where are you applying?•••••My lord, I'm applying to so many... at least for now. In Ohio I'm applying to OU, Medical College of Ohio, UC, Case, and that one DO school.

If you want my entire list I'll PM you after I get my MCAT scores back... I'm fearing my MCAT scores might limit my opinions...

How about you?

That one DO school is Ohio U.

I'm only applying to Osteopathic schools, so OU is my first choice. But, I'm also applying to 8 other out-of-state schools. Statistically, I would have a better shot at being accepted to MD schools, but the osteopathic ideals are in-sync with my philosophy of patient care...

I'm applying to 2 D.O. schools in California too.

why are yall saying the 12th when the site says 7th? and more importantly, why am i freaking out? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

Just a few more hours!!!!!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

you know what..i know this is freaky, but i can't wear the same shirt I wore when I took the MCAT again. Thinking of my scores just freaks me out cuz then the rest of my summer will either be a bad one (taking it again) or a good one (not taking it again. <img border="0" alt="[Pity]" title="" src="graemlins/pity.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
