For how long does an MCAT score stay on an applicant's record? Is it there for good, or is it like some other tests, where after a 3-5 year period it is removed, if additional tests have been written? If it is removed from an applicants record, do adcom's still have access to "all" the scores. Just curious.

Thanks

I believe it's there for good....but most schools won't consider it after 3 years (although they will see it).

I think the 3 years is an average. Each school has their own timeline.

I know this is what you meant, I just wanted to clarify.

quoted for truth. Different schools=different rules. 3 years is pretty standard.

The important part is "three years from xx". Usually it is "three years before the expected date of matriculation", so really, you only get two application cycles per test, unless you sneak by and take it after that school's matriculation date.
