How many out there are sick of thinking about this damn test? At this point i just want to take it and get it over with.

Not to mention that my Mcat studying is a great way to avoid class homework. Like right now, i have 2 papers due next week, and a biochem test mon., and i'm on the Kaplan website doing practice physical science sections.

I'm sick of stressing, 'cause normally i never stress. I'm putting on weight. This is ridiculous, we're all going to kick butt on this test anyways, RIght? \

Ok, sorry to vent, but is there anyone else out there feeling my pain?

I am in your exact shoes, except I have a full-time job, a husband and a son ! 3 more weekends and I am out of my mind trying to focus. My weakness is physical science, and no matter how much I study, I can't see to do it... Any suggestions?

It will feel like a injection of KCl when your taking the test. It seems like it only lasts a couple of minutes.

Jeez you gained weight also, I gained 20 lbs when I took the test.

Just relax, eat a nice dinner the night of the test, and take a long shower or bath.

Good Luck

AK

Actually I'm pretty relaxed because I've been scoring 36+ on all my practice exams. No big deal for me.

Take a deep breath and relax everyone! I'll always remember the Kaplan center manager telling me, that the test is half academic half psychological: If you go in there thinking you'll do well you'll get about 1-2 points higher and if you think you're gonna bomb it, well your scores will go down about 1-2 points.

I used to tell myself, "E'01 you are going to ENJOY taking this test - it'll be a unique experience". Seriously...it did help calm my nerves on test day. I didn't ace the exam but I did well enough to be accepted at several places and even got a scholarship at one. Just do your best and try to enjoy the experience as much as possible.

GOOD LUCK!!

Well I'll tell you my "secret" but I'll just preface it by saying I never once scored a 36+ :p

I could make a long list of specific things I do, but mainly it comes down to a few things.

1. there are some things you absolutely need to memorize. these things are some physics formulas, ochem reactions, cell bio, etc. I made notecards of these and drilled on em.
2. practice exams up the wazoo. nothing substitutes for practice problems under timed conditions. this is ABSOLUTELY imperative to getting a good score.
3. general confidence and calmness. take time to read the passage without feeling rushed. there is so much information in those passages, even for physics and bio. take advantage of the free information they give you. it'll make life easier. :)
