MCAT: the major problem?

For how many of you was the MCAT score the biggest weakness in your application?

1. What did you do about it?

2. Were you successful w/ admission to med school after retaking (or not retaking)?

Any input would be good.

I considered it the biggest weakness in my application, with a 27P: 8P, 9V, 10B.

I didn't retake it because I felt my GPA was good enough to outweigh it, and I had a lot of clinical experience with some unique extracurriculars.

I also interviewed pretty well so I'm sure that made up for it a bit too.
