The book contains study strategies for VR, but no practice passages. For that reason, I don't think the book is worth it. VR is all about practice. Strategy is important, however, you can easily find great VR strategies on here. Check the MCAT Guide sticky up top for its list of verbal help/strategy threads. I like Vihsadas's VR thread.
Just looking at your sig, but you got into a school. How come you're looking into MCAT prep material?
I'm thinking about retaking the MCAT since I got a 7 in Verbal. I might try and focus on verbal for a couple of months in my spare time and see if I can quickly raise it to a 9. That and if I could get a 30, DMU offers scholarships so its just a thought on my part.
