Does anyone know what a 75% on the verbal reasoning section roughly converts to on the MCAT number scale (1-15)? Kaplan's online practice MCAT sets an 82% at a 7 which seems real odd to me, although the exam could have just been real easy.

It depends on the test because it is all normalized. A 75% would be about 48 out of 65, right? Well that would probably be an 8-9 on most tests. The verbal has the tightest grading scale because many people do well on it so a couple of questions could separate an 8 from a 10. Go with what the test says that you're taking because it has already been normalized and tells you what you would have received if you would have taken it with that group of students.:)

After taking the Kaplan course and the Aug MCAT, I'd say that they are pretty close with Kaplan erring on the side of more difficult for a given score.

Don't worry about the score too much for Kaplan, just hone your skills.
