MCAT.. where to start?

I want to take the MCAT, and I need materials to start studying.
Problem is I don't know where to start or what to start with.

Should I get the Kaplan 5 topic set? the ExamKrackers? Princeton Review?

What other resources do I need?

What should I buy?

I don't want to take any prep courses because I like studying on my own. Plus I don't really have that kind of money.

Please bestow upon me your wonderful advice and experiences with the MCAT as well as what you did to prepare for it.
