Greenville, South Carolina
  1. Medical Student
    Medical College of Georgia:
$25k / year in state (scholarship info TBD over the summer)
    Established
    Larger class size (230)
Great partnership with University Health Care System

University of South Carolina - Greenville
$32k / year (minus half tuition scholarship, so $16k / year with OOS tuition waiver)
Brand new school (I would be part of the inaugural class)
*However, the resident hospital has been training interns from Columbia for 20 years
    Smaller class size (50)
Better town ("prettier," less crime, closer to mountains)

No brainer - MCG. $9k per year difference isn't that much and going to a brand new school with no matchlist and track record is risky. IMO you should only choose a new school over an established one if the price difference is extremely large (like $30k+).
