MCV/VCU Financial Aid Package

I called MCV on Friday to find out when I will know my fin aid amounts and they said that they wont have fin aid package untill mid July. WTF??? Is this normal?

The Commonwealth has no budget now, which is being worked out, so they have no idea how much will be available from the state for aid. If you are instate, don't worry though, you will be fine.

Hmmm, really? I talked to someone in the financial aid office and they said that award letters should go out by late April. It might also depend on when you were accepted.

Thanks for replies guys. I am instate and was accepted with the last batch. I will try to call them again and to find out what the deal is.
