I hardly see anyone that graduated from my school (UCD) that got into Medical school on that site... and it looks like the ones that do get in had 3.9 - 4.0 GPA and they still got lots of rejections. Maybe this is normal?

This is prolly a stupid question, but does that site accurately reflect one's chances of getting in with any particular stats?

Honest answer plz...

While I think this site is GREAT - and I have to admit that I've lost probably more then a few hours of my life searching it obsessively - you have to take it with a grain of salt. Just look at the profile stats - well above the national average for applicants. And we are also relying on people to update their own profiles, so some in waitlists can actually turn into accepts. And remember that state residency counts alot with some of the schools (a midwestern like myself would be stupid to blow money on a place like Arizona or Hawaii).

So it's a good reference, but not the gods honest truth. Take everything as just a smidge "incomplete".

Yes, the site has limitations. At best, it's a cross-section of the applicant pool, putting "names and faces" to some of the statistics we find in the MSAR or USNews. At worst, it's deceptive fiction. With time, hopefully it will become more of the former and less of the latter.

Please update your profiles!
