1. is the process of applying to allopathic the same as osteopathic? when i apply to MD, have i automatically also applied to the other one as well? (DO or OD, cant remember)

2. i am confused about the application process. does the very first application that is turned in june 1st , include only the personal statement? what about LOR's? what about transcripts?

i would start by reading through the stickies at the top of the pre-allo page. they tend to answer lots of general questions.

read this as well. it's a good guide to the whole process.

for MD and DO, there are two separate application systems. AMCAS for MD and AACOMAS for DO. i believe that they are similar in format, but you must complete both if you wish to apply MD and DO.

The Primary Application for DO schools is the AACOMAS. If you google it, you can get to the main website, and it'll give you a lot of information about what is required.
