which schools are known for being more and less competitive. not regarding the strength of their programs/how hard it is to get in, but the atmosphere among the students? i know all med students are competitive, but i would rather go to a school where students work together to acheive, rather than against each other.

UTSW and Baylor have competitive atmospheres from what I hear.

i think you will find the student bodies at all med schools to be very similar. there are gunners everywhere.

the exception probably being schools without AOA; there will be much less anality and a more friendly environment

This is a thread that better belongs in Allo. Pre-allos are just going to throw stereotypes out there without any experience whatsoever.

But I dont think it should surprise anyone if all the top medical schools were considered to have competitive atmospheres...

Indeed...we can tell you what schools are rumured to have a competitive atmosphere, but not having started med school yet it'd all be hearsay and conjecture...try the allo forum
