Hi,

Does anyone know of any good sites to get medical animations from? I am working on a case study project involving renal failure and I really would like some cool animations on normal renal function as well as effects of drugs (diuretics, ACE inhibitors, etc.). Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I always use the image search engines to find good pictures for my presentations. Here are the links:
http://www.altavista.com/image
http://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=

If you look for images with .gif behind them (instead of .jpg), sometimes those are animated images. I did a quick search and this is what I was able to find:
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/research/visible/vhp_conf/senger/senger.htm
http://www.altavista.com/video/resu...realmedia&mvf=other&mvd=all&mvs=all&avkw=aapt

Great advice, Kalel. I tried out the Altavista image search engine by typing out "kidney." I got some of the coolest kidney images I've seen. I had no idea you could ask the search engines Google and Altavista to specfically search for images.
