Tread lightly we took the ADEX at UNC and promised 40+ states and then it turns out the group that administered it to us (CITA) got in a pissing match w/ nerb people and it fell through due to the politics.

CITA also said that Georia is looking to become a CITA member down the road...I'd take everything CITA-related with a HUGE grain of salt. (I'm not bitter...really :)) And technically ADEX has folded (it's not exactly the new NERB) for the time being, so I'd suggest finding out exactly what they are referring to when they tell you you may take an ADEX exam.

Unfortunately it's not that black and white. ADEX is the exam, but what matters is the testing agency that administers it to you. For us it was CITA (council of interstate testing agency i believe), but for GA it is probably different. It is important to find out who is administering it to you in order to see where it will be applicable.

To answer the original poster's question, we've been told Georgia only accepts ADEX now. The ADEX exam we took in October was administered by CRDTS. I think those people who took and passed SRTA prior to this year will be granted licenses. They still administered SRTA this year at MCG but I don't even know where it is accepted anymore.

Frankly, this whole business of a national exam is really poorly developed. The concept is great, but in reality things were better before when people knew exactly where they stood with the regional boards. At least that is what I think.

Actually I was talking about 2006,when I was checking the SRTA exam sites for 2006,I noticed that the site at MCG at Augusta is NOT listed for 2006 anymore.I Contacted MCG administration, but no one responded to my e-mails.

I took the Manican portion of ADEX in November/05 & the paitient's part will be in March/06 .
