Hi all,
I'll be an MS1 in August and I was wondering whether to buy a medical dictionary (if so, which) or to just look up terms online and save $50 or so. Any opinions?

I have both Dorlands and Stedmans in bound edition, but I use my PDA Stedman's far more than the others. Dorland's has a nice website, but was a bit slow for my taste a few years ago, but their Word Medical spell check dictionary that comes with it is a very nice tool.

Honestly, I probalby did not use my money's worth out of either prited edition for the medical dictionaries.

I have yet to find a medical term that I couldn't get a good definition from either wikipedia or the net. Don't buy a dictonary. AMSA gave me on for free and I haven't used it yet first year. (PDA may be useful for looking things up third year, but stay away from hard cover dictonaries.)
