Dear Pre-Med students;

Windsor University School of Medicine is inviting applications for its MD program for January 2001.

1. Windsor University School of Medicine was started by a group of American Physicians and Surgeons in 1997. Windsor is located in City of Basseterre, St Kitts. St. Kitts is only 1000 miles from Miami and 2 hours by American Airline. Windsor is a licenced, chartered, Accredited medical school. Windsor is recognized by the World Health Organization. Windsor is approved by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates of United states of America. Students graduating from Windsor are eligible to take united states Medical Licencing Exams and United Kingdom exams.

2. The goal of the Physicians who are the principals of this school is to provide excellent basic and clinical sciences education based on the American Curricula. Physicians who started this program actually took United States Licencing exams and boards and completed their residency in US hospitals. The staff at Windsor strive to provide quality education in both basic and clinical sciences and help students prepare USMLE exams. They have been through and there is no one better than the staff at Windsor who knows about these exams and courses.

3. MD program at Windsor University School of Medicine is done in 2 parts similar to American Medical Schools- BASIC SCIENCES & CLINICAL SCIENCES. Basic Sciences includes BIOCHEMISTRY, ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY, PHARMACOLOGY, MICROBIOLOGY, PATHOLOGY, BEHAVIOURAL SCIENCES, PHYSICAL DIAGNOSIS AND INTRODUCTION TO CLINICAL MEDICINE. This part is done in 5 semesters on campus at St.Kitts in 20 months. After successful completion of Basic Sciences, student enters into Clinical Sciences and does 42 weeks of Core rotations in Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology and 30 weeks of Elective rotations in cardiology, Opthalmology, urology, GI, Nephrology, Pulmonary and many other specialities of the students choice. All rotations are done in teaching hospitals of USA.

4. During basic Sciences, Student is eligible to take USMLE-1 ( Basic Sciences Boards ) and during clinical rotations student can take USMLE-2 ( Clinical Sciences Boards ). As soon as student passes these tests he will be ready for the residency in the field of their choice.
