sup homies,

i was hoping we could make a list of scholarships for healthcare/medical school with their websites. lord knows i'm a broke child and my parents are broke too (i'm the last of four), and i know many of you are in the same boat.

so, here we go:

National Health Service Corps
http://nhsc.bhpr.hrsa.gov//get_involved/scholarships.html
Eligible: medical students (or pre-meds with an acceptance letter), residents

HCA Cares
http://www.hcacares.com/
Elligible: Healthcare workers displaced since 9/11/01.

If you look in the MSAR or Princeton Review guide, it will describe the scholarship options available at each school.

Definitely look in-state first though, since tuition there is relatively cheap and any loan you might take can be paid back even during residency.

Most big-name private schools will give you tons of money to attend if you are in-need, so if you feel you have a good shot of getting in definitely go for it.

So I think overall, a good mix of in-state and private schools (the balance of which is determined by how competitive your credentials are) will ultimately result in a good deal/full ride for you.

Good luck!
