For those medical students who are interested in emergency medicine, I just wanted to let everyone know that we're holding a medical student symposium in emergency medicine on January 20, 2000 at the Farmington, CT Marriott. This symposium is made possible through unrestricted grants provided to the UConn/Hartford Hospital Department of Traumatology and Emergency Medicine by Capital Area Health Care Consortium and various pharmaceutical companies. All medical students are invited to come, but seating is limited -- first come, first serve. The topics chosen are meant to peak medical student interest, provide information about topics in emergency medicine, and encourage dialogue about these issues in the medical community. This program has enjoyed success in the past two years and has consistently been met with positive feedback from the medical students who attended. We're very excited about this year's line up.
