what would the graph look like if it took all CEO's pay combined vs all doctors pay combined? There are a ton more doctors and would likely make up 80% or more of that 2 slice pie.

so docs make less money than people in charge of billion dollar corporations with thousands of employees?

Don't know the exact amount for CEOs but administration in general costs 25% of total healthcare costs vs 6% for physician salaries.

Funny how we always need to "cut back" but continue to increase the number of administrators to physicians, particularly ones with zero contact with patients.

The ceo base salaries are likely a small percentage of total compensation.

Four hospital ceos around me make over 3 million each... that's a lot of pcps and audiologist salaries....

Yeah but you have to understand, he sees the "big picture" and is "saving money" for the system!

He deserves to be paid MILLIONS for brilliant cost efficiency parameters.

What would the stupid physicians do without him? Those *****s can't even tie shoes.

The main thing he gets paid for its to supervise other admin staff, who supervise other admin staff...

When a hospital CEO gets sick they go to a different hospital system and don't tell the doctors who they are.

In related news, casino owners make more money than either blackjack dealers or blackjack players, even card counters.
