Meeting potential research mentors at Second Look

At a Second Look Weekend, I have the option of 1:1 meetings w faculty/research mentors etc. but I’m not sure what research field or area of medicine I want to choose.

I know it’s early but I suppose it won’t hurt to meet with potential mentors for when I do matriculate at the school.

I intend on pursuing clinical research. Should I pick a field that I’m more familiar with or something entirely different (to ask for their thoughts on their X field)?

Any insights on this would be greatly appreciated!

Just pick something you are interested in. You don’t have to commit now. I ended up involved in projects in completely different fields than I thought I would.
