at birth: spermatogonium (2n)
at puberty to adulthood:spermatid

female:
at birth: oogonium (2n)
at puberty: primary oocyte prophase 1 (NOT SURE)
at ovulation: secondary oocyte at prophase 2 (completes meiosis 2 after penetration of the sperm)

Two more questions:


1) Has anybody heard of NEUROBIONTS or NEUTROBIONTS in terms of the evolutionary deverloment? does anyone know whether they were developed prior to protobionts?

2) does anybody know if where does the lymphtic system drain to? I know that the fluid is picked up from the interstial fluid by the thorasic duct but i have different sources that one says it's drianed to the jugluar vein and the other says superior vena cava.
