I hate what it does to normal, intelligent people. The glazed eyes, the disconnected behavior.
C'mon do you absolutely HAVE to find the perfect gift for everyone?
Will your family love you more if you do? Will they overlook all the other times you were a complete ahole?

Sorry, I had to get this off my chest, it's been getting to me lately. Now that I finally have time to spend w/ family & friends I am being told: "Sorry, I have to go shopping." It's only fair, they put up w/ my schedule all year long.
Counting hours until this freakin' holiday is over.

Not gonna be a Merry Christmas this year for me - my 13 year old Husky is in the process of dying and I currently have a "doggie hospice" situation going on at home. I know she is comfortable as she has nice doggie morphine-like pills to keep her calm and peaceful, but I am so sad to see her go! She is the first pet my husband and I got together, and we are really having a hard time with this whole thing. 🙁

I would LOVE to do that! Better yet, get the gift during a random time in the year and sign it "Merry Christmas." That would really be a surprise.

I have nothing wrong with Christmas, I appreciate that the majority of people in this country celebrate it. But can't there be just ONE radio station playing something other than Christmas music???
