What are the ways people here use to be automatically notified when a practice-changing study is released (ideally filtering out the 99% of clutter in most journals)?

Regularly wander through here:


Read the actual studies when necessary or particularly important to you.

Go to year in review sessions at national meetings.

Use the MOC situation available to you in a way that gets you looking and reviewing pertinent subject matter. You have to do it anyway. (Maybe you can try not to but that world is long gone and good luck)

I also like Critical Care Reviews newsletter.

Evidence Alerts is also a good service that will compile articles for you based on the impact of that article relative to your specialty.

I don't think that CCR newsletter really filters anything out. I do subscribe thought
