hello everyone i am a new member to this site, and would like to gain some critical information from medical students who attend the university of miami. i would like to know if you can give me details and personal opinions about the schools curriculum and how i can avoid some of its pitfalls, in particular this 2% below the standard deviation grading, and what it is exactly? from what i understand, even if a student gets a passing grade, like a 86% he/she can still possible fail or receive an incomplete for that class depending on the deviation. please provide me with any possible information, it will be greatly appreciation.

p.s. i am accepted into the med school

That's 2 standard deviations below the mean. "Not 2% below the standard deviation." So, yess. If you are at the bottom of the class consistantly, you may be asked to repeat the year.
