I have a micro final tomorrow and haven't gone to lecture a few times (oops!). So I was wondering if any of you could help me out with this study question:

Differentiate between primary, secondary, and tertiary colonizers (in dental plaque). Tell more than just the types of organisms involved-- what characteristics do they have?

    Anybody?

    Thanks!

i am fairly confident that primary colonizers are aerobic organizms, and that tertiary colonizers are anaerobic

    that is all i remember
