I don’t think they ever release a ranking list. I also think they pull from the waitlist when someone who is similar declines their spot. I don’t think they pull in the order the waitlist was placed, but I could be wrong. It’s just what I heard.
 
I'm guessing they pull the applicants who fit their criteria the most first?

I was waitlisted yesterday and now this morning my portal also says the same as yours. So, I’m very confused and not sure if I’m waitlisted or waitlisted for an interview. If you find anything out please let me know 🙏
 
My portal just changed. It's now the same as the photo posted by Happyavacado13 with the "Waitlisted for Interview", before it was just "Waitlisted"

I think whatever options they send you are what they have left available. Maybe call them tomorrow and ask? Congratulations I got mine this evening as well! We WILL be Doctors! 🙏
 
I received an interview invite yesterday after being waitlisted!! Anyone know how their interview works? Mine is December 18! (Just need to get the time off of work)

How long were you waitlisted for? I have been on the interview waitlist since September 😭

Honestly, it might be a soft rejection.🥲 Apparently some people had only been on it a few days and got pulled off for an interview. I don’t know how they’d get all the way back to my application when it’s been on the waitlist for 2+ months now. I just wish it’d switch to something definite instead of feeling like I’m in limbo. 😩 Best of luck to you, fingers crossed we get pulled off of it 🤞🏼
 
I have an interview scheduled for next week from 6:30am-noon, which seems like a huge window, but I also have a job interview lined up on the same day at 10:30am. I can’t adjust my job interview time unfortunately. Can anyone who has already interviewed tell me how likely I am to be done at or before 10:30am?
 
Hey everyone! also on the "waitlist for interview". I know its rolling admissions but it scares me I have been on it since mid september.. Ive seen alot of posts about the waitlist being a soft rejection for midwestern applicants, but have also seen many people say they made it off the waitlist. I actually uploaded an application update with a document of newer experiences and knowledge ive gained since i applied, has anyone found that they think this gave them an advantage? do they even look at the application updates?! I am checking my email everday! Good luck to everyone still waiting, and congrats to those who have gotten in🙂
 
For those of you who are interviewing/have interviewed, have they offered any sort of information session? I’m so excited to be accepted but I feel like I don't actually know that much about the school. I know they said they're going have some accepted students days in the future but I’m getting antsy lol

I think there’s still a chance! Don’t lose hope yet, many people decline their spot for Midwestern and I believe the waitlist moved a bunch last cycle.

So I have my interview scheduled for Jan 7th and the time slot was 7:30AM-2PM. I believe they will walk us through their campus and talk to us about their program. I’ll keep you posted!
 
Hey everyone, thanks for the advice and replies on my post! Hope everyone is doing well!! Been checking my portal it feels like.. everyday! I noticed today in my portal instead of the “application status” saying “decided” and then “waitlist for interview” as the decision it Dosent say decided, it changed! Now it simply says “waitlist” and then “waitlist for interview” has anyone had this before and then they get an interview? Could this be a good sign? Thank you all! And good luck!

I haven’t been invited to interview but it seems the same thing happened in my portal! I’ve been waitlisted since September 29th.
 
They sent me a congrats and stickers in the mail today 🙂🙂
 
My interview is tomorrow, any last minute words of wisdom? 🤗 also, anyone who already has interviewed, did the questions make you feel comfortable/confident and able to keep a conversation going?

Has anyone who’s already interviewed know if they will send me more detailed information about interview day and what to expect?

they didn't really send out a schedule for my interview, but at the interview they gave us a way more detailed schedule! you'll go into the admissions building but if you have trouble finding it there are people there that will show you. definitely plan on being there til 2-3pm though
 
I have an interview on 1/6. I'm reeeeeeally looking forward to seeing the sun for a couple days 🙂 They don't provide any guidance about preparing for the interview, do they? Can anyone who's had one provide more information? Do they provide any food? I'm assuming, and hoping, that my interview isn't happening right away at 7:30?
 
For those still interviewing, when you come to campus, follow signs to the Barrel One building. They had the first interviews at 8 today and the last ones started at 11. There were also general campus tours in the morning, then lunch in the cafeteria, then a tour of the clinic facilities. There were dental school candidates in the same room with us at first, so don't get confused if you run into them 🙂 We were done with everything before 3.

My daughter had an interview yesterday and they said in a week or 2 she will hear. Today was the last day for interviews.

I interviewed there as well in December and they said that their very last interview date was Jan 12th. I believe yesterday was their last in person interviews and the rest are on zoom.

I got an email a while ago, stating that I got an interview offer and to check the portal for interview date. When I checked the portal there was no interview dates available. I’ve been checking pretty consistently over the past weeks and have not seen any interview dates pop up and now I’m getting concerned as it is time when people are getting they acceptances and denials. Any advice???

I interviewed on the first day in December. During the first part of the interview they stated that they had all their interview slots filled and no anticipation to add any interview dates. I think the last interview date coming up is 1/12 like an earlier post stated.

Unfortunately they told us at my interview yesterday that next Tuesday was going to be the last batch of interviews😣 They will not be interviewing further this cycle from what they told us during our tour.

The way they are doing interviews this cycle is so disheartening. They got my hopes up and sent me an email saying I got an interview offer. But every time I went to check for interview dates they were full. Why send out that I got an interview (if there wasn’t enough interview slots). Maybe just luck of the draw and I wasn’t fast enough but still seems like a bad way to do interviews.

Their interview process does seem very frustrating. I know the same thing happened last year, and that some people are still on waitlist for interview. I think one good thing— I expect the waitlist will move for people who are on the waitlist! I'm not sure if they've even sent out a waitlist yet. I personally will only accept my spot if my partner also gets into Midwestern medical school.

I’m so sorry, I was in this boat last year and it was really devastating. They were the last program I was waiting for as well so it was so discouraging.
