In my opinion, applying Ed is not a good idea unless you have other circumstances that would make you unable to attend other schools. Currently everyone applies rather early for regular decision, so if you get rejected by mcg you'll be behind everyone else in the app cycle.

If I apply ED to MCG, I can't apply RD to other schools before they make a decision?

If I'm not mistaken you aren't allowed to unless it's past October 1st or you received a rejection.

Then I suppose it's pretty important to gauge my chances of getting accepted EDP.
As I understand it, students who apply EDP generally have a higher chance of getting accepted with lower stats. If I don't get accepted EDP, then my chances of getting accepted elsewhere would be pretty low as well wouldn't they?

As I understand EDP, you are unlikely to be accepted unless you have stats better than their average applicant. Your ECs must be equally good, or better. The usual acceptee is highly-likely to have been accepted through the usual accptance mechanism, but kisses goodbye all chances of grants or scholarships, since they guarantee to attend, if accepted in the EDP.

Consider calling the admissions office and asking what they like to see in EDP applicants. MCGs mean acceptee stats are MCAT 31, GPA 3.8. Your clinical volunteer time is pretty meager right now. But I expect it will be better by submission time. You list no leadership, research, or teaching/mentoring. Your sports involvement might help show your teamwork, so I'd list that. I agree with you that your ECs are thin, so find out what your preferred school values, and work on it.

Your safety school could be Mercer (stats-wise), but they will have similiar expectations for ECs.
