Hi,

I'm a international minority student graduationg from university in the U.S. I have a 3.4 overall g.p.a and 3.3 SGPA. And my MCAT score is 26P. Do you think i have a chance or getting accepted to good allopathic schools? Thank you.

Not if you don't have permanent resident status and are here in a US university on a student visa.

As for your numbers, I think you'll get into an allopathic school in the US, but more at issue is your residency status in this country.

US medical schools aren't in the habit of taking in students who 1) aren't citizens of the USA and 2) don't have permanent resident status (i.e., green card). Student visas don't cut it.

I'm a permament resident and have a green card. My family moved here about 4 years ago. I even finished high school in the U.S. So that's not really an issue. I was just worried about my marks. Thanks Tim of New York.
