Hi my mother is a Puerto Rican and my father is from the Dominican Republic. I know I am considered a minority but am I an URM, I was also born in the states. I also got a 8,9,11 on the mcat and have a 3.66 science gpa and regular gpa. What do you think are my chances?

Puerto Rican is considered URM.

Good Luck.

Yes, "mainland puerto ricans", or people of puerto rican ancestry born in a state, are considered urms. Indicate your "race" as mainland puerto-rican in AMCAS, there should be an option or instructions on how to indicate your ethnicity there. You have either average or above average numbers for mainland puertoricans, I can't remember their exact averages, I'm pretty sure that your GPA is above average, and your chances look good. Keep studying and make sure that you have enough extracurriculars. Good luck
