I broke my collar bone yesterday snowboarding and i got a few interviews coming up!

BTW: I didn't think the injury was that bad (i actually went an a couple more runs b4 i went to first aid) but when i looked at the x-ray the bone looked like a snapped twig! The doctor said they don't set that particular bone unless it is sticking out--is this true? Does anyone have experience with this?

I have broken my clavicles three times, once on the left and twice on the right. I was pretty young so I don't recall completely, but the last time they did have to manipulate the bone because it was a clean break and the halves had slipped past each other. I suppose it just depends on the severity of the break and the position in which they are left. I am snowboarder too. I have yet to break any bones on the mountain (knock on wood) but I have f***ed myself up pretty good a few times. Good luck with your interviews and I hope you get well soon. Snowbird, Brighton... here I come! :horns: 👍

Did you fall on your shoulder? I was right next to a guy when he broke his and it did sound like a twig snapping. They didn't set his either. He said the worst part is that the pec muscle is attached to it so you really can't move your arm.

snowboarding injuries....painful....damn cracked rib.

shame I don't have health insurance or I would have gone boarding last night. It took me three times as long to get home from work because of how heavy the snow was.

clavicle = most often broken bone in the body

my pal got his broken and spent a couple of weeks in a sling type thing. did a crazy jump while snowboarding... be careful people!😛 enjoy the many different colors of bruising! 😀

ouch... i've got the same problem.

bah... my whole right side hurts. lesson learned- do not show off in front of hot guys 🙁

I have already done two interviews in a sling, so I feel your pain. I had shoulder surgery after a bad dislocation 7 weeks ago. Interviewing in the sling is not that bad, honestly.

Besides, it's a great icebreaker!

Owww. Sorry about your collar bone.

I don't think it will be a problem at your interviews -- you just have to hope that no one pats you on the shoulder. 🙂
