missense mutation is not always a changed amino acid?

EK bio says that a missense mutation is just one that occurs in the coding sequence and that it may or may not change the amino acid that it originally codes for.

I thought a missense mutation always changed the amino acid...

The genetic code is redundant, so you can change one nucleotide and get the same amino acid.

i sort of know that...
i just thought a silent mutation was when the aa doesn't change and missense when the aa does change
