This was posted today on the Missouri Psychological Association website. Also on their website is footage of their recent legislative day! Let's hope this passes.

Footnote: I didn't want to post this on the stickied thread because it will soon be out-of-date

Hello Everyone,

RE: SB917 & HB1739

Well, your valued support and your action with regard to contacting our legislators has really moved things as we hoped it would. We have successfully been voted forward from the Senate committee and just Thursday were voted 7 to 2 forward from the House of Representatives committee as well.

But, we're not quite there yet! We desperately need your continued assistance. If you have contacted your legislators in Jefferson City before, thank you! please do so again! Please have each member of your family, your friends and their family members do so also. This is critical.

Please go online to our CAPWIZ feature to contact your legislators more easily. Just go to this page link:

http://capwiz.com/apapractice/state/main/?lvl=L&state=MO&view=myofficials

WE NEED YOUR DEDICATED ACTION ON THIS WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS, PLEASE!

Enter your zip code at the top left of the page to find your legislators. You can and please do use the "take action" buttons in the "ACTION ALERT" box on the right of the page. You can and should reword the text to the legislator to your liking and in your words if possible, as this is preferable. The shorter message has proven to be better and more effective. Use both "take action" buttons and send them off. Again, please enlist your families and friends to help, separately and in their names as well.

We do need these bills placed on calendars for floor debate and vote. We are coming down literally to the wire for success of our initiative before the current session of the legislature ends and another year is wasted.

Your action has been the reason these bills have moved so far. We earnestly need your action again to move them even further to fruition. Our team is working night and day to this end and will continue to do so to improve the delivery of seamless, comprehensive treatment under the guidance of our qualified Doctors of Psychology. Won't you please spend just a few minutes and a few key strokes or phone calls to insure this vast improvement to the patients, families and to the psychologists themselves as they seek to deliver the finest care possible to their clients? Senate Bill 917 & House Bill 1739 need your help. Together, as a team, we can do it!

As always,
Thank you for your support,

Tom Parquette
