Earlier today, I was looking at my courses and grades on the amcas and I realized that I made a mistake in entering a grade for one of my classes. I put an "A" instead of a "B". Right now, I am still waiting to go active.
But my question is, will amcas change the grade by themselves when they are verifying, or will they put me on hold and tell ME to change it??? I really don't want to go through another "HOLD" period. Also, would it be better if I email them and let them know that I made a mistake?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I'd bet a hundred bucks that AMCAS will catch it. When you look at your app after it has been processed all of your grades have symbols by them. They mean stuff like "accepted as stated" or "accepted after modification." If I were you, I'd drop them an email mentioning the discrepancy with apologies.

I'm pretty sure that they will change it. You'll probably just get an "X" by that course though. No big deal, and I'm sure it will all work out in the end.

You could always give them a call and explain to them what you discovered. They might be able to flag the grad or at least offer you some information about the process. I think if you work with them they can be pretty decent. It's worth a try.
