What school do you go to and what is your favorite thing about it and what is one of your least favorite things about it?

As a pre-pod I feel like this could be a fun and useful "guide" of sorts for us pre pods. Obviously opinions should be taken with a grain of salt, but it's always good to get a general consensus on what students like/dislike about their school.

Thanks!

Welp... I only interviewed at one school so I am as biased as this thread is gonna get. lol
But really... going to Barry in fall and there are a couple things that I liked a lot about the school.
1) They emphasized the amount of clinical exposure that we will encounter because they are affiliated with 3 difference hospitals.
2) I overall got this very welcoming energy.
3) Location wasn't the best. Weatherrrrrrr tho>>>>>>>>

WesternU
1) COMP & CPM faculty at your disposal for advice, mentorship, etc.
2) As a result, tons of research opportunities
3) Club / extracurricular opportunities available across each college
4) Great volunteer possibilities in the community with DPM / MD / DO faculty
5) We've placed residents all over the country at great programs
6) You experience every rotation traditional med students do (peds, surgery, IM, OBGYN, etc.)
7) Weather :)
8) Great location with anything you can think of in proximity
9) Small class size

Feel free to message me if you have any questions whatsoever! Good luck!

Thanks! Great info. What are some least favorite things about your schools?

Midwestern:
1: classes with the DO students in all basic sciences
2: 100% boards part 1 pass rate in the most recent cycle
3: third year rotations are in Phoenix, and once you start you never have to be in a classroom again, and all of my third year rotations have been heavily surgical
4: new dean, fresh blood, fresh ideas- just started funding student research projects out of his own pocket basically
5: small class size of 30, will be increased to 40 next year
6: in one of the safer neighborhoods in the surrounding phoenix area
Anything else, feel free to ask. I interviewed at all 9 schools.
