Most meaningful activity research

Would it be weird to adcoms if your most meaningful activity wasn't the research you did that led to a publication but another research experience?

If all of your research activities were in the same area/department with the same research mentor, then you could lump it all under one entry and put that as a meaningful activity...just a suggestion. However, if you have a lot to say for a particular activity, i.e, you learned a lot, played an important role, are passionate about it, then I don't see why it'd be weird regardless of whether you got a pub. out of it or not.
