Does anyone know if there is a book for dental schools that is similar to the MSAR for med schools? (it's the book that gives you the most current stats about each school...you usually have to order it from the application processing centers). Thanks :)

Yes,

The ADEA's "Official Guide to Dental Schools" can be purchased online at www.adea.org (then click on Order Publications).

Many campus bookstores also have it, and pre-professional advisors should have copies as well. The current issue is for the entering class of 2002.

By the way, the publication used to be called the "Admission Requirements of U.S. and Canadian Dental Schools Entering Class of ----". With the latest version the ADEA changed the name to the "Official Guide to Dental Schools".

The book is quite helpful, although a good bit of the information contained in it can be gleaned from individual web pages. The OGDS wraps everything up in a big bow and places it at your fingertips.

By the way, does anybody know when the new OGDS (for entering class of 2003) will be out? I'm guessing March-April -- anyone know for sure when the ADEA updates the book?

thanks for the info gavin :)
