I know someone out there understands this and I was hoping that I could get some clarification. If a med school accepts you and they tell you that you have three weeks to let them know, how do you give them an answer without knowing what other schools are going to decide about you? Can you take multiple acceptances? If you do, do you have to pay deposits at each school to hold your spot? Appreciate the help

Most schools do require you to pay a deposit to reserve a spot in the class. The deposit is usually refundable until May 15, at which point you can only hold one acceptance. Otherwise, you forfeit your deposit to the schools. Hope that helps.

you can hold acceptances at all schools that accept you until May 15. so if you dont know that youre going to get into a school in which you are more interested but have received an acceptance from another school then you can go ahead and hold your spot there. it's better to lose a hundred dollars in a deposit than have to reapply and spend another 3-5 thousand.
