hi, quick question.

I am curious about the fulfillment of the bio prereq.

So far I have taken:

(all of the following have included a lab component)

Anatomy
Physiology
Introductory Biology
Microbiology
Gen Bio 2

(and i plan on taking cell physiology, with no lab component)

Now, my question is, must I take gen bio 1? or have I fulfilled the requirement with the above?

Yea, I would assume it's the same class with a different name considering that you took classes that would require gen. bio as a pre-req.

What is 'intro bio' if not 'gen bio 1'? I'd say you could use it as a substitute.

this was a survey course of biology, not the first part of a 2 semester biology course. it was intended to stand alone, however, it was a prereq for the other courses i took.

the course was mainly intended for nursing majors.

Well, the wording (at least according to the MSAR) is 'one year of biology' which I interpret to mean two semesters of biology courses (whether or not they are sequenced). I still think you should be fine.

cool, thanks, it would just suck for it not to work out
